P2P Helping Parent Training
Parent to Parent volunteer Helping Parents are trained veteran parents who are matched with a family who has a child with the same or a similar diagnosis. The Helping Parent provides information and a listening ear to be supportive and encouraging.
This meeting is for current Helping Parents, those who want to become a Helping Parent, and those who are interested in the Helping Parent program. You will learn about what a Helping Parent does and does not do, resources in our area, and how to support new families.
You will also have an opportunity to create a Helping Parent profile on our website to better meet the needs of all parents and caregivers.
