Paperwork Party

Center for Children & Families, 1150 W Chestnut St, Walla Walla

Services & Supports mean paperwork - lots of paperwork - the results can be beneficial, but remember everything begins with paperwork.

If your child/adult is a client of the Developmental Disabilities Administration, they can receive paid services including Medicaid, Respite, Personal Care, and so forth. First you have to apply, which means paperwork.

If you are a caregiver to an adult with a disability and they are a client of DDA receiving paid services, YOU can be paid to provide personal care for them if you become a Parent Provider. This means you have to sign up with Consumer Direct Washington (CDWA), which means paperwork.

Adults with disabilities can qualify to receive monthly paid benefits from Supplemental Security Income (SSI). First they must apply, which means paperwork.

There are ways to protect benefits received by an adult with disabilities through an ABLE account or Washington State Developmental Disabilities Endowment Trust Fund (DDETF). Both of these require, you guessed it, paperwork.

Come to the Paperwork Party to get help filling out forms.

Please RSVP (green button above) and indicate if you are looking for help in any particular area.
