SOAR : Start Now Celebration
SOAR events are for individuals age 13 and older. Registration for each event closes the Sunday before the event at 6:00 pm.
August SOAR activities are as follows:
Friday, August 2, 2024 - Start Now: Celebration
Time: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Cost: no cost
Dinner will be provided for this event
Time to celebrate during our last Start Now class! You will be cooking a dinner for your families and then sharing about what you learned during the Start Now program!

If you've already registered and paid, we will be going to see the play, Beauty & the Beast on Saturday, August 10. Participants will need to ARRIVE NOT LATER than 1:00 pm as that is the time we will be seated. Play will be over at 4:30, however, we will be staying until 5:30 as our participants will be able to do pictures and a meet and greet with the cast!

SOAR- Diverse Abilities Drama Camp
2 pm to 4 pm
Walla Walla Center for Children & Families
We will be casting, rehearsing, and performing the one-act play called "A Mixed Up Fairy Tale." There are many different roles in this play. For those who do not like being on stage, we will have crew positions backstage. Characters on stage can have no spoken lines, 1-5 spoken lines, 5-10 spoken lines, or a very limited number of roles have larger speaking parts. When registering please indicate your comfort level and preferred number of lines.
Rehearsals will be Monday 8/12 through the morning of Friday 8/16 with a performance at Heritage Park in downtown Walla Walla on Friday, August 16 at 1:00pm.
