Since 1979, Addus has served families at home, providing quality in-home supportive services to elderly and younger persons with disabilities.

Adult Family Homes are regular neighborhood homes where staff assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of the adult. A room, meals, laundry, supervision and varying levels of assistance with care are provided. Some provide occasional nursing care. Some offer specialized care for people with mental health issues, developmental disabilities or dementia. The home can have two to six residents and is licensed by the state.

Alternative Residential Services assists our clients with all areas of community living. We provide financial guidance and resources, transportation, and medical services. We also offer medication management, meal planning and preparation, along with shopping assistance.

The city offers a 20% discount on monthly utility bills for low-income residents. Blue Mountain Action Council can also provide direct financial assistance to eligible residents to help pay for rent, mortgage, or utility.

Companion homes are established in typical family settings and are based on an adult foster care model where a long-lasting relationship between the individual being supported and the provider is built. An individual with developmental disabilities age 18 or older lives in the home with you and receives 24-hour support and supervision. When you need a break, short term relief (often known as respite) is available to you.

HomeChoice is a downpayment assistance, second mortgage loan program for qualified borrowers who have a disability or who have a family member with a disability living with them. Funds up to $15,000. HomeChoice combines with House Key and Home Advantage first mortgage loan programs. One-on-one counseling is required.

Milton-Freewater, Hermiston & Pendleton Divisions - Horizon Project, Inc. operates twelve group homes, three supported living programs and three semi-independent living programs, which houses individuals in apartments or houses. Each group home houses up to 5 individuals and the supported living program serves a growing number of individuals at various locations in the communities.
