Sarah Spiess, Secretary
At a very young age, my parents started the Challenger Baseball League in Walla Walla. Growing up I had the opportunity to serve as a “buddy” in that program. That experience truly was life changing for me and proved to be very formative. It was through that experience that I realized my desire to become a Special Education teacher and continue to serve children with special needs and their families.
Over the last 8 years I have worked as a Special Education teacher. I recently relocated back to the Walla Walla Valley and have the privilege of teaching Special Education in College Place Public Schools. I feel privileged to be able to now serve the children and families in the same community that served me in my youth. I love having the opportunity to further support the community as a board member for the WWVDN and connect my students and their families to all of the wonderful resources that the organization has to offer.
