Parent to Parent

Parent to Parent

Parent to Parent provides information and emotional support to families of children and adults with special needs in Washington State. Local county coordinators organize parent volunteers (Helping Parents) who also have children with special needs.

Parents may have questions and concerns regarding their child’s needs and their own feelings. Personal support from another parent, who has a child with similar needs, can be helpful in coping with these experiences and feelings. Volunteer Helping Parents are available to provide support and information.

Helping Parents

You may visit the Parent to Parent facebook page and attend trainings to become a Parent to Parent volunteer. In addition to supporting individual families, Parent to Parent organizes and conducts presentations to parent groups, professionals and other organizations.

The Parent to Parent program is funded by the ARC of Washington, Walla Walla County Ad Valorem funds, and United Way of the Blue Mountains. Thank you to all of our funders!
